Minot, ND (KXNET) – A new food truck offers customers the chance to taste Jamaica in the Peace Garden State.
Richard Black, who moved to North Dakota from New York, said he realized there wasn’t a diverse food offering here.
Blake has been working on the Reggae Pot food truck for several months.
Although it’s only been open for a few weeks, Black said business has been booming.
Reggae Pot hopes to move to a permanent location in the next few months, and hopes customers will enjoy more than just authentic food.
“We’re trying to create an environment where Minot and the experience are not just, oh, I ate Jamaican food today. I hope that’s really an issue when you walk into our establishment, I’m today Experienced a little Jamaica. The whole vibe and vibe speaks to what Jamaica has to offer,” said Reggae Pot owner Richard Black.
Everything from the spices to the cooking style is 100% authentic Jamaican, says Black.
