Commercial Highway 371 in Brainerd will reopen soon, with a scheduled detour scheduled for Saturday, October 1 at 5 p.m.
The newly updated commercial freeway 371/Buffalo Hills Lane/Industrial Park Road intersection will also reopen, but it will remain a stop until the manufactured signal poles arrive in late November.
Motorists will continue to experience regular lane closures marked between Barrows and Brainerd. Work will take place on days of good weather, from sunrise to sunset, and from weekdays to October.
When completed, the $7.1 million project will provide smoother pavement, updated drainage, and improved access and safety along 4 miles of Commercial Highway 371 from Brainerd to Barrows.
