A ruptured pipe caused flooding that destroyed much of Mt. Alleycat Metaphysical Supplies’ merchandise. clemens. Repairs are expected to be extensive, including removing the entire ceiling and redoing the millwork.
mt. Clemens, Michigan (Fox 2) – Be a mountain. The owner of Clemens went to his shop to feed his cats, and he found a mess destroying his wares and buildings.
“We came here around noon on Christmas Day to feed our cat Luci and then left like it was raining all over the place,” Lyle Kramp said.
An upstairs water main burst, filling Alleycat Metaphysical Supplies with water. Lucy was safe, but the store suffered significant damage.
“We had ice on our doorknob. The main door, it was frozen the whole day we were here, Friday or Saturday I think. Even though there was heat, the windows were frozen,” Crane said. Pu said.
He could hardly salvage anything.
“My wife made clothes; we had a lot of books here, old first edition prints. We didn’t know what to expect,” Cramp said. “That was our main source of income and it’s gone now.”

Kramp’s landlord, Bon Labadie, owns a shop next to the business – Heads Up Pipe and Novelty Shop. His store was damaged, but not as badly as the Alleycat, which he sees as a case of protecting the product.
“All the doors are frozen. The water is gushing from here and it’s going straight into the street,” Labadie said. “I called and got people over as fast as I could, and what we started doing was doing a basic vacuum, at least draining the water, shutting off the water, et cetera.”
Labadie said this is not an easy problem to solve.
“What we needed to do there was the whole ceiling had to be removed and all the woodwork in there had to be redone, so it took time,” he said.
