In FY2022, the Howden Group completed 31 acquisitions. These include Aston Lark in the UK, Align in the US and Assiteca in Italy.
“The completion of Aston Lark in the UK builds on the acquisition of A-Plan and brings total investment in the UK over the past 24 months to £2bn,” Howden Group said in an email. “Howden is ranked the fifth largest employee-owned company in the UK by the Employee Ownership Association.
“In the US, Align redefines the scope and access of Howden’s MGA (Managing General Agent) business, creating an international MGA group with a GWP (Gross Written Premium) of over £2.2bn.”
The TigerRisk deal is finalized after fiscal 2022.
“Howden Group delivered an excellent financial performance in 2022, with organic growth of 19%, an achievement all the more remarkable given its impressive growth of 19% in 2021,” commented the company’s group boss. “On a test prep basis, our revenue has nearly doubled in just 12 months.
“Howden’s differentiated capital model, which combines employee ownership with long-term institutional shareholders, continues to provide the business with opportunity, strength and sustainability in terms of capital allocation.”
“We welcomed 1,000 new employee shareholders into the group this year, bringing the group’s total headcount to 3,500, along with the Howden Group Foundation, which is a significant shareholder in the business,” he added.
